Aphogee Balancing Moisturizer Review

I love conditioner, I have several to control my dry and wild hair. The last conditioner I finished is Aphogee Balancing Moisturizer, this conditioner is marketed towards dry/damaged hair.

They Say
Aphogee products are optimised for maximum results and contain our exclusive PropHytamine complex, utilising precise levels of protein for strength, emollients for shine and humectants for softness, repair and protection. Aphogee balancing moisturiser helps restore softness and elasticity to dry and brittle hair. Infuses hair with moisture, improves manageability, softness and shine.

Ana Says
At first when I bought this I used it as a leave in moisturiser not knowing that it is in fact a conditioner.  As a leave in I found it even more effective, but I would advice that if a product has directions on how to use their product you more or less should follow it, if not your taking a risk.

The consistency of the Aphogee conditioner is light/medium.  I like using this conditioner to detangle my hair as it has amazing slip that helps get out all my stubborn tangles and makes it so easy to comb through my hair. My hair feels so soft and smooth like butter. I love how shiny my hair is after using Hello Hydration. Because of the humectants in the conditioner it draws moisture from the air into the hair, so this conditioner is best for humid weather.

Overall

This is the first product, I don't have anything negative to say, this is one of those conditioners I think can work for majority of people, its not to thick and neither is it light. The only people I would not recommend this to is those that suffer from greasy hair.

Maybelline Colossal - Volume Express Mascara Review

                                            Without Mascara              With Mascara

Mascara, Mascara, Mascara, I need more mascara. As you might know by now, I love me some mascara. I concentrate most of my make up on my eyes as that's what I like to highlight the most. I first bought the Maybelline Falsies mascara after several recommendations, I'm still on the fence about that mascara, but one thing that frustrated and disappointed me the most is that I couldn't use the mascara on my lower lashes, which is why I decided to go out and get the Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara.

They say
Maybelline the Colossal Volume Express has a collagen enriched formula, that loads lashes with up to 7x more gorgeous volume, conquers clumps with a mega brush.

Ana says
At first when I used this mascara, I wasn't that thrilled by it, It does thicken my lashes but it takes several coatings to get the desired look I want. The Maybelline Colossal does adds some length to my lashes but nothing impressive. I tend to love mascaras that give me the most dramatic length and volume possible, but I have grown to love Colossal as it is nice to have a really natural enhancement to my eyes. I love how buildable the mascara is as you can do several coatings of  the Colossal whiteout it getting your lashes clumpy, because it takes a while before it dries.

The Maybelline Falsies vs Maybelline Colossal

The Maybelline Falsies mascara

VS

The Maybelline Colossal Volume Express mascara

Effect
As you can see from both pictures, they give the same length but the volume is a lot different. The falsies is more dramatic in thickness and more dark, where as the colossal is more subtle.

Consistency/Usability
The Maybelline Falsies mascara dries quicker than Colossal, which means you have to work really fast with coating your lashes. Whereas when using the Colossal mascara, you can take your time and build up on application. The colossal took 3 coats to reach the level of thickness as shown in the pictures above whereas the maybelline falsies took 2 coats.

I find that the Maybelline Falsies is very hard to use on my lower lashes, unlike the Colossal, which I can use on my lower lashes. Out of the two I would say Colossal is the winner for me.

Overall
If your looking for a mascara that can add a subtle and more natural volume to your eyes then you might love this mascara. The Colossal mascara is perfect for people who like to apply mascara at a pace they are comfortable with. You might not like Maybelline Colossal if you want a mascara that provides dramatic volume or length. If you love your mascaras that dry fast then you might want to leave this alone. Overall The Colossal is a decent mascara.

Dark and Lovely Moisture Plus Oil Moisturiser Cream Review

I am always looking for products  to moisture my thirsty hair better. The Latest product I have tried is Dark and Lovely Moisture Plus Oil Moisture Cream. I used it up in three months and results of the product depended on technique.

They Say
Dark and lovely hair care is an advanced combination of natural ingredients and body enhancing polymers that infuses and seals moisture into each strand for a soft and full finish. Enriched with Panthenol and Vitamin E, the deep conditioning formula found in Dark and Lovely Moisture Plus Oil Moisture Cream revitalises and moistures dry, damaged hair.

Ana Says
The Dark and Lovely Moisture Cream is of a medium consistency and is quite oily in texture. When I use the cream by itself on dry hair, it does nothing for me and seems to just sit on the outside of my hair. But when I use it on my damp hair, it really does make a difference, my hair feels softer, shinier and more moisturised.

The Pros
  •  Moisturises well on my damp hair
  • Hair is more shiny
  • Affordable

The Cons
  • Does not work well on dry hair
  • Very oily in texture, may leave your hair looking greasy

Overall
If you have really dry, dull hair then you might want to try this out, but if you hate your hair feeling somewhat greasy, or looking too shiny you might want to skip this one.

MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick Review

I have always admired red lipstick on a women, I love how it can make a woman dangerously sexy, charmingly classy or just stand out from the crowd. But when a woman wears the wrong shade of red lipstick, it can just look totally outrageous, ridiculously tacky or just plain clownish, which is why I have always avoided wearing red lipstick up until I found MAC Ruby Woo.

MAC Ruby Woo is a classic retro red with blue undertones, I have seen this lipstick on a variety of skin tones and it seems to suit the palest of skin tones to the darkest, Ruby Woo is a lipstick colour that does not discriminate lol, which is why I had to get it.

The Pros
  • Ruby Woo is very matte, you can't get a lipstick more matte than this, The texture of Ruby Woo makes it a very long-lasting lipstick.
  • Ruby Woo suits a variety of skin tones
  • It is a very pigmented lipstick, you only need one or two coats.
The Cons
  • It is very drying due to it's matte texture.
  • Wearing a lip balm under is a must.
  • Whenever I wear this lipstick I have to exfoliate my lips or my lips will look very cracky.
  • Ruby Woo has no shine or sheen.
Overall
If you are having trouble finding a red lipstick then I would recommend you try MAC's Ruby Woo, it is a gorgeous classic red, but definitely one to avoid if you suffer from really dry lips. Mac Rubby Woo retails for £13.50

This Is What I Wore

This is what I wore to the zoo.

The wheather was nice and warm in london yesterday, which is a rare occurrence in rainy and cold britain. I decided that I wanted to be comfortable but still feminine and stylish as I would be walking for long periods of time. I wore a frilly flowery dress with a gorgeous shiny pink bag, I originally paired this outfit with a multi-coloured turquoise and pink sandals but they malfunctioned while walking to the zoo lol so I had to buy flip flops as you can see in the photo above.

Clearly I took inspiration from the lions for my hairdo yesterday lol

Dress from H&M £3.99 (sale)
Bag from Boohoo £25.00

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner Review

I am a conditioner junkie. I am always on the search for the best moisturising conditioners because my hair is very thick and tends to get dry very often. My latest conditioner is Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, this conditioner is specifically for dry/damaged hair.

They Say
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration conditioner gives a luscious shine to hair with its deep hydrating formula, so take a deep dive into high shine. Replenish your pretty parched head with its rich formula containing orchid and coconut extracts.

Ana Says
Let me just start of by stating, I love the packaging of Hello Hydration, it is so cute and colourful. The consistency of the Hello Hydration conditioner is medium/thick. OMG the smell of this conditioner is divine, it smells of coconuts and it makes me want to travel to some exotic island. I like using this conditioner to detangle my hair as it has amazing slip that helps get out all my stubborn tangles and makes it so easy to comb through my hair. My hair feels so soft and smooth like butter. I love how shiny my hair is after using Hello Hydration.

Overall
This conditioner is great for anyone with hair that tends to be dry. Hello hydration conditioner may not be for you if you have thin or limp hair as the thick consistency of the conditioner will probably weigh your hair down. The smell of the Hello Hydration conditioner is gorgeous and smells of coconuts and other exotic herbs but if you hate scented conditioners then this not for you. Herbal Essences Hello Hydration conditioner is very affordable and can be bought for £3.49.

Rihanna Where Have You Been Video Make Up Look 1

I was watching Rihanna's Where Have You Been video, she had a few different bold smokey eye looks that I liked. I really loved the make up look she had on at around 3.17, where she seems to be wearing a reddish pink dress and has gold sparkly symbols  shaped like a mask, around her eyes. My recreation of this look isn't esactly like the one Rihanna has in the video but is inspired by the look and is a lot more wearable.

Eyeshadow Crease: Black color from Sleek Storm Palette
Eyeliner: Hasmi Kajal
Eyebrow Pencil: Rimmel Dark Brown
Concealer: MAC nw43

You can see the make up look in the video below.
